  Leabrdge - Linda Kelly

Linda Kelly is a legal advocate working for people with learning difficulties. She’s also a mum and a school governor and interested in improving schools and youth provision. She believes that by improving school standards and youth provision in the Borough we provide the foundations for our young citizens in Hackney.

Linda knows a lot about Hackney and its problems. She’s lived here for more than 40 years after being born in India. She believes in justice on planning issues and has supported many residents in their fight to retain and improve their environment, particularly tackling the Lathams wood yard development.

A councillor since 2002, she became Speaker of the Council in 2005. She has campaigned to improve housing conditions on estates like Beecholme and Radley Square, which now have new windows and roofs.
