About Faizullah

Faizullah has lived in Stoke Newington for over 20 years. He is a peace activist and has taken part in local inter-faith and all-faiths peace initiatives and as a member of Pak-India peace and goodwill delegation in 2004-05; a people-to-people contact peace initiative, he traveled widely in Pakistan and India and addressed meetings in all major cities.

He has been Chair of the Hackney Council for Older People and served on the national policy committee of Help the Aged. He is a Governor of Hackney Community College.

His main priorities are community development, social services and education. He has been a Councillor for Hackney Downs Ward since 2002 and served as Cabinet Member and subsequently Cabinet Adviser for Older People, producing the Well old Well valued strategy.
