Welcome to Day 1 of Meet Your Labour Team!

Today we’re meeting Councillor Brian Bell and Councillor Clare Potter from Brownswood. Brian has been a councillor in Brownswood since 2006, while Clare was elected in 2014.

Brian is Chairs of the Governing Board at Parkwood Primary School, the main one serving the area. He believes that giving an excellent start in life to children in the Borough is one of the most important things a council can do.

Brian also leads the steering group of residents and officers that oversees the regeneration of Kings Crescent estate, and recently twice obtained planning permission for the scheme to proceed. This will eventually provide over 550 new homes for social rent, shared ownership and private sale, as well as refurbishing all the existing flats.

Clare has been active in her local community for many years and is currently co-running the allotment scheme and playing out sessions on the Myddleton Grange estate.  She believes shared experiences in the community such as these are a strong platform on which to build mutual respect.

Both are standing for re-election in Brownswood in the Local Election on 3rd May 2018!
