Rosemary has lived in Stamford Hill for over 30 years and her two children went to Hackney schools. She has been involved in numerous community activities including chair of a primary school governing body and campaigns to improve the local environment. Recently retired from Middlesex University, where she taught and researched on equalities issues, she is currently a trustee and volunteer at Hackney Migrant Centre, an active member of Hackney Coalition to Save the NHS and secretary of a Hackney community choir.
Rosemary campaigns actively in Stamford Hill to defend the NHS, for better housing and against the Bedroom Tax. If elected, her priority would be to fight to defend the living standards of local people, for example through tackling abuses by private landlords and defending front line council services, and for a safer, cleaner Stamford Hill.
