Margaret Gordon has lived in Clapton with her family for over 20 years & her children have attended local schools. She has been proud to represent Lea Bridge Ward since 2014.
She is passionately committed to campaigning for services which enable all Hackneys children to thrive & has campaigned for reductions in school exclusions & improved SEND & mental health provision locally.
As a lawyer she has a track record of campaigning for access to justice & supporting residents in asserting their rights. She is a trustee of the Hackney Almshouse charity which provides housing to local residents.
She works closely & collaboratively with ward colleagues Cllrs Deniz Oguzkanli and Ian Rathbone .
