Kam Adams has lived in Hoxton for the last 37 years, and has been a councillor for 8 years.
From his background in teaching young people, as an economist and IT teacher, he is passionate about social justice and helping vulnerable residents to access council services, housing repairs dealing with anti-social behaviour and young people to access the best opportunities. He has cultivated partnerships between businesses and local public services for the benefit of the community.
As an active member of his local community, he has participated in the social and political landscape as a member of TRA. He has built strong links with community organisations and multiple churches across the ward. He is a patron of APEX (Community-based alternative and supplementary education provider) as well as a member of the London Mayor’s Association and a member of the Hoxton Trust’s board of trustees.
